I met Abbie and her mom this week in the Big Belt mountains for her senior session. WOW. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location to show off this girl's personality and style. I'm glad they both trusted me and my crazy ideas -- I think it was totally worth it.

Her SMILE!! It didn't stop!  Love.

Wow.  Just wow.  This girl is not only gorgeous on the outside, but she's sweet, kind, happy and smart.  She's going places in this crazy world of ours. 

Of course we had to get down by the river -- but when I asked if she wanted to get *in* the river, I was beyond pleased by her response! 

Addy: Class of 2015 Pool Session | Helena, Montana Senior Photographer

Addy, one of my Class of 2015 Capital High School reps, and I have gotten together a few times over the past months to put together a really dynamic senior portfolio that explores all of her interests.  This morning we met early at the pool for some action swimming shots.  It was a first for me -- I showed up to the session in my swim suit ready to get in the pool and get some great angles and unique images.  Take a look at a couple of my favorite shots and let me know what you think.

Class of 2015 Helena High Senior Rep: Madison | Helena Montana Senior Photographer

Madison is one of my beautiful class of 2015 reps from Helena High School. She came out with her dad (yes, her dad!) and her sister recently for her model session on a typically blustery winter Montana afternoon, and I couldn't be more pleased! First, let me reiterate - she came with her dad. I'm convinced after this experience that all senior girls should bring their dad along on their senior photo shoot. The camaraderie can't be beat, and you better believe Dad will forever remember these little moments. I hope he'll tag along on her full session later this summer, too.

I still cant' decide whether I prefer color or black and white on this image.  Her eyes are stunning either way.

Well, sure, soccer is a summer sport, but we have to show it off in the winter, too!

Canyon Ferry Ice Boating (for Signature Montana Magazine) | Helena, Montana Commercial Photographer

What do you get when you have a bunch of brave (or crazy, perhaps!) people, ice-covered lakes, and tiny sailboats on ice skates?? 

 Ice boating.

Yep. You heard it right.  Ice boating.  For when skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and ice skating just aren't enough of a challenge any more ;)

 I headed out on a recent assignment for Signature Montana Magazine to photograph these guys taking part in their favorite hobby. They offered to take me out someday, but I think for now I'll stick to my own two feet. WOW! Talk about exciting and high adrenaline!

Allison & Zach: Married | Seeley Lake Montana Wedding Photographer

You know how every now and then throughout life, you come across people who make you happy to be alive?  Zach and Allison were two of those people in my life.  We met last fall for their engagement session, prior to which I may or may not have been stalking them to get the inside scoop on their personalities... Well, this is the first thing I came across:  a blog entitled "squirrel thoughts."  You should really go read it.  After you peruse through their wedding images here, of course.

After laughing (out loud) my way through Allison's entry about a bus ride gone wrong between Butte and Great Falls, I knew we were a good match, and that we were all in for a stinking good time at their wedding.

They didn't disappoint.  Their wedding day at the Double Arrow Resort in Seeley Lake was the perfect backdrop for their day filled with wit, love, a little rain, and a lot of smiles.  

Congratulations doesn't seem like a big enough word.  I wish these two the very best that everything in life has to offer as they begin their journey of husband and wife together.  I hope to get to know them better as time goes on, and cannot wait to see what trouble they get in together over the years (you will hire me for your 50th anniversary photos, right??)
