I'm headed out for a few days of family vacation, but wanted to post a few more shots from Brielle's newborn session. I had such a hard time narrowing down the proofs from this session because she was so good the entire time!

Taylor {Bozeman, MT Senior Photographer}
Taylor was my first full senior session and I adored every minute of it! We actually had a double session... She and her parents came in from Billings so we did an outdoorsy set on the first evening, then a more urban spot the next morning. What a great time! Of course it didn't hurt that she is gorgeous, which made my job pretty easy... On top of that she's just a sweet, genuine person who is going to make a big impression on the world.
She's got "model" written all over herself.
When I process my family and child sessions, I always process the photos the same with a soft touch so that they all blend together as a whole. I'm taking the opportunity with Taylor's photos to use various processing techniques and I'm having a blast! I think I could really get into this HS Senior thing...
Thank you again, Taylor, Kristen and Bill! I truly appreciate the time we spent together on these, and I look forward to getting all the proofs to you to see what you think!

How to make your baby smile that giant smile {Bozeman, MT Baby Photographer}
Ever wonder how photographers end up with those crazy giant baby smiles that parents can't help but blow up into a 20x24 canvas? It's not really all the photographer, as much as I'd like to take all the credit... Moms and dads are as important behind the camera as the photographer. Without mom or dad's help, it'd be way more work to get shots like this:
So next time you book the session for your 3, 6 or 9-month old baby, be prepared to do something like this:
It works.

Baby Week! {Bozeman, MT Baby & Newborn Photographer}
I've been having the most amazing week! I've been up to my neck in babies, and I can't get enough!!
I started the week with Cooper's 6-month session. I've been photographing him since he was a newborn, and it's amazing to watch him grow! He's the happiest little dude (until he gets hungry, anyway... ) with the coolest hair.
What a doll!
Next I got to hang out with Liam again, this time on his 3-month birthday! He's grown and changed so much since his newborn session, and it was great to hang out with him and his mom for a couple hours. I know his 6-month session will be here before I know it.
Yesterday I met baby Brielle, who is 4 weeks young already, but not even 6 pounds. She is just a peanut of a thing, and so, so sweet! She slept for the majority of the session and looked beautiful amongst the flowers on her front yard!
Tomorrow I get to meet a one-week old little baby boy and I can't wait! In the meantime, I'll try to get proofing some more of these three.

So much love {Bozeman, MT Family Photographer}
40-60-40.
That's what Cathy told me when we started this session. They're celebrating all sorts of special occasions this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa have been married 40 years, and he's celebrating his 60th birthday. Brother is celebrating his 40th, and they're all celebrating the 4th of July together. That's the important part. Together.
The more time I spent with this family, the more I started to feel like a tiny part of it. They're fun, they're friendly, they're welcoming and warm. I couldn't get enough! I kept saying "OK, this is the last set" but then I kept going... and they were troopers!
Thank you for the opportunity to spend this time with your family. I hope this was a great way to start your weekend of celebration. You are truly an example of what families in America should strive for. Love and connection. Here's to many more years and many more special moments.
I kind of want to print this one on a big canvas for my studio -- could they get any better looking?!
The ones who started it all. Congrats, Glenda and Ronald!
The beautiful ladies of the family.
The grand-babies.
A couple of the handsome guys
I can't stop looking at the expression on Abigail's face as she gazes at her grandparents -- I can't help but wonder what she's thinking, and of the wonderful example that's been set for her in regard to love and respect.

Waiting for baby {Bozeman, MT Maternity Photographer}
Heather and I rescheduled her maternity session from a couple weeks ago so that her daughter could be a part of it. I'm always so pleased to include all family members in a maternity session. Although Mom is the one carrying the baby, the entire family spends this time waiting and preparing for the arrival of a new family member. I enjoy seeing the interaction between older siblings and the baby in the belly - in my experience it's been different every time. Kennedy is sure to be a loving, caring big sister to baby boy. I can't wait to see them in a few weeks after he joins the family (and I can't wait to hear what name they decide on!)

Little Miss Elizabeth {Bozeman, MT Newborn Photographer}
I think if I could choose the part I love most about what I do, it's when I get the opportunity to photograph an itsy bitsy teensy weensy newborn baby. There's something about holding such a sweet and innocent little being in my arms and capturing their beauty and innocence that just warms me up inside. Yes, I also get the chance to quench the thirst for another baby of my own, but that's only a little piece of the puzzle ;) Watching them sleep, cuddling and comforting them when they wake, watching how they interact with their family is just priceless.
Meet Elizabeth, 5 days old and perfect in every way.
